Read the gaps rather than the totals. The jump from the fourth round to the quarter-final is $300,000. The jump from the quarter-final to the semi-final is $670,000. Note the qualifying tier too. A player who wins one qualifying match banks $48,000 without ever reaching the main draw, and the third qualifying round pays $66,000. For a player outside the top 100, a good qualifying week at Flushing Meadows is a meaningful share of an annual income.

Doubles, mixed and the rest of the $108 million

The doubles numbers were published alongside the singles ladder. Winning teams in the men's, women's and mixed events split $1 million, with the runner-up team taking $500,000, per the USTA release as reported by ESPN.

The two sources label the same figure differently. The ATP table reports $108 million as total prize money, while the USTA release frames it as total player compensation. Neither breaks out how that total splits beyond the singles and doubles numbers above, so be specific about which label you are quoting.

Betting and DFS impact

The purse is not a market on its own, but it moves two things that are.

Rounds-reached and to-reach props. Books price how far a player goes; the payout ladder tells you how hard that player will chase it. A qualifier at $140,000 guaranteed plays a very different first round than a top seed managing a body.
