Chief of Staff

Work directly with the founders on whatever most needs to be true next. At a small company that ships quickly, the constraint is rarely engineering capacity — it's the decisions, the hiring, the vendor relationships, and the follow-through around it. You'll run the operating cadence, own the projects with no obvious owner, and make sure the things we said we would do actually happen.

What you'll do

Run the company's operating cadence: goals, weekly priorities, and written follow-through across a distributed team.
Own cross-functional projects end to end — app store and compliance reviews, data-provider and vendor relationships, launch coordination.
Turn scattered context into short decision memos the founders can act on, with the tradeoffs actually stated.
Drive recruiting operations as the team grows: pipeline, scheduling, candidate experience, and onboarding.
Own the reporting the team runs on — growth, retention, and spend — and chase the numbers that don't reconcile.
Absorb the unglamorous operational work (contracts, tooling, process) so engineering stays on the product.

What we're looking for

Experience as a chief of staff, or in operations, consulting, banking, or an early startup where you owned outcomes rather than a function.
Exceptional written communication — this team runs on documents, not meetings.
Comfort with data: you can pull the numbers yourself, build the model, and notice when a metric is lying.
Judgment about what matters this week versus what can wait, and the willingness to decide without a complete picture.
High trust and discretion. You will see everything.
Genuine interest in sports betting, consumer products, or both.

Nice to have

Experience at a consumer app or marketplace, especially one distributed through the app stores.
Familiarity with a regulated or compliance-sensitive consumer product.
SQL, or the willingness to learn enough of it to answer your own questions.
