Two numbers there are worth a second look. Vicente Luque, a career welterweight, weighed 186 for a middleweight bout, and Donte Johnson came in at 184.5, the largest cushion under a limit anywhere on the card.

Where the Market Moved After the Scale

The co-main is the fight that actually changed this week. When we published our Dern vs Robertson co-main breakdown on Monday, UFC.com's board had Dern at minus-230 and Robertson at plus-190, with MMA Junkie listing the same fight at minus-260 and plus-210. By Friday afternoon, DraftKings had the champion at minus-205 and the challenger at plus-170.

Different books, so read that as direction rather than a clean delta. The direction is unambiguous: money came in on the challenger across fight week, and Dern is a weaker favorite Friday than she was Monday. A champion drifting in her first defense is the most interesting price on this card.

The main event barely twitched. DraftKings had Machado Garry at plus-285 on Friday afternoon, against the plus-270 UFC.com showed Monday. Weigh-ins move markets when someone misses or pulls out. Neither happened, so Makhachev's closing number will look a lot like his opening one.

What to Watch Tonight

Makhachev is chasing history in two directions. He has won 16 straight, tying Anderson Silva for the longest winning streak in UFC history, and a 17th breaks it outright. A win would also put him alongside Henry Cejudo, Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones and Amanda Nunes as the only fighters to successfully defend UFC titles in two divisions. He took the welterweight belt from Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 and this is his first defense of it.

Machado Garry is 17-1 and is not unbeaten, whatever the buildup implies. The loss was a five-round decision to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 in December 2024, and he has beaten Carlos Prates and Belal Muhammad since. He is the taller man at 6-foot-3 to Makhachev's 5-foot-10, with a 74-inch reach against 70, and DraftKings' own preview credits him with 80 percent takedown defense.
