This document provides California residents with information required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and supplements our Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between this disclosure and our Privacy Policy, this disclosure controls for California residents.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, "personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular consumer or household. In the preceding 12 months, StatSniper has collected the following categories of personal information:
Name and email address (or Google/Apple sign-in credentials)
Display name and username (auto-generated, editable)
Phone number and mailing address (collected only from influencers for payouts)
IP address, device name, and push notification tokens
Account registration date and status
Subscription and in-app purchase history
Marketplace activity (picks purchased or sold, other users engaged with)
Purchase amounts and payment method details (processed by Stripe)
Pages visited, features accessed, and content viewed on StatSniper
Search queries and picks analyzed
Time spent on the platform and interaction patterns (clicks, scrolling, form submissions)
Approximate location (country, state, city, approximate coordinates, and timezone) derived one time from your IP address during onboarding. We do not continuously track your location, and your IP address is processed locally rather than sent to an external geolocation service.
Profile pictures, avatars, or background images you voluntarily upload
Your sports and league preferences, bet-type preferences, and betting interests
Profiles or segments about your preferences and interests
Predictions about the sports, leagues, teams, players, and bet types you are interested in (derived from your activity and AI advisor usage)
StatSniper collects personal information from the following sources:
Directly from you: when you register, complete onboarding, build your profile, use marketplace or social features, contact support, or submit feedback
Automatically from your device: through session cookies, local storage, analytics events, and crash/performance data
From service providers: our payment processor (Stripe), analytics and crash-reporting providers, and email delivery service
From sports data providers: publicly available sports data (schedules, scores, statistics, odds); no personal information about you is received from these providers
From other users: if they refer you or interact with you on the platform
StatSniper collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
To provide and improve our services (analyze sports data, generate statistics and AI betting insights, personalize recommendations)
To operate our platform (create and manage accounts, process transactions and payouts, provide customer support)
To communicate with you (send service messages and, where permitted, promotional emails about StatSniper)
To understand product usage (analytics, feature adoption, stability)
To protect the platform (maintain account security, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms)
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
For research and development (test features and improve our models)
Age-appropriate access: we collect your birth year during onboarding to restrict access to users who meet our minimum age requirement
In the preceding 12 months, StatSniper has disclosed personal information to the following categories of third parties, each of which processes data only for the purposes described and under its own data-processing terms:
Cloud Infrastructure Provider: hosts and stores application data in secured, access-controlled environments
Payment Processor (Stripe): processes subscriptions, purchases, and influencer payouts; receives email, payment details, and (for influencers) identity and tax information
AI Providers: receive your AI advisor messages and publicly available sports data to generate responses; they do not receive your personal identity information (email, location, payment details)
Analytics and Crash-Reporting Providers: receive anonymized event data and crash logs
Email Delivery Service: routes support requests to our team
Search Service: indexes post content and player names to power in-app search
Sports Data Providers: provide publicly available sports data; no user data is sent to them
Other Marketplace Users: if you buy or sell picks, your username and related communications are shared with the other party
Government Agencies and Law Enforcement: when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process
A Successor Entity: if StatSniper is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale
California residents have the following rights regarding their personal information:
You have the right to request that we disclose the specific pieces and categories of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. Email privacy@statsniper.com to make this request.
You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you. Exceptions apply where we must retain information to complete transactions, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, or for other purposes permitted by law. To request deletion, email privacy@statsniper.com.
StatSniper does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is no opt-out to process; if you have questions, contact privacy@statsniper.com.
You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you. You can update much of your information directly in your account settings, or email a correction request to privacy@statsniper.com.
You have the right to request that we limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the services you request. To make this request, email privacy@statsniper.com.
You have the right to receive a copy of the personal information we have collected about you in a portable and readily usable format. Email privacy@statsniper.com to make this request.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights by denying you services, charging different prices, or providing a different level or quality of service.
To exercise any of your CCPA rights, email privacy@statsniper.com.
We will verify your identity before responding to your request. Depending on the sensitivity of the information and the type of request, we may ask you to verify your name, email address, and other information. If we cannot verify your identity, we may deny your request.
You can authorize an agent to submit requests on your behalf. Your agent must provide signed written permission or a power of attorney, and we will verify your identity before processing the request.
We will respond to your CCPA request within 45 days of receipt (or as required by law). If we need more time, we will notify you and explain the reason for the delay. For complex requests, we may extend the deadline by 45 additional days.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, a "sale" means disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, and "sharing" means disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. StatSniper does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information for these purposes in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
The only sensitive personal information StatSniper collects is the Social Security Number and financial account information required from users who apply to become influencers, used solely for tax reporting and payout processing. This information is collected and processed directly by Stripe over encrypted connections and is never stored on StatSniper's servers. We do not collect biometric information, precise geolocation, or health information. We use the limited sensitive personal information we do collect only as necessary to provide our services and comply with the law, and you may request that we limit its use by emailing privacy@statsniper.com.
StatSniper is restricted to users 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from consumers under 21. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 without legally-required affirmative authorization. If you are aware of a minor using StatSniper, please contact us immediately at support@statsniper.com.
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-standard protocol for responding to DNT signals, StatSniper does not currently respond to them. However, we do not engage in cross-site tracking or targeted advertising of our users.
If we deny your CCPA request, we will explain the reason and provide instructions for how to appeal. You may appeal by submitting a written request to privacy@statsniper.com within 45 days of our denial. We will review your appeal and respond within 45 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the California Attorney General or the California Privacy Protection Agency.
