Injuries
- Zach EdeySince he's already been in rehab mode and was ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery March 3 to address ongoing discomfort and bone stress in his left ankle, Edey opted to get his aching elbow taken care of with another procedure. Edey is expected to make a full recovery from both the ankle surgery and elbow procedure prior to the start of training camp. Before being shut down in mid-December due to the ankle issue, Edey looked to be in line for a second-year breakout, as he had converted at a 63.3 percent clip from the field and posted averages of 13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, 1.1 assists and 0.6 steals in 25.8 minutes per game over his 11 appearances. The Grizzlies view the 7-foot-3 big man as a key building block and will plan for him to settle back in as their starting center in 2026-27 so long as he's able to stay healthy.Out
- Ja MorantMorant won't return this season but is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The star point guard will finish this season with averages of 19.5 points, 8.1 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 28.5 minutes per game across just 20 regular-season appearances. The Murray State product continues to be plagued with injuries and has appeared in just 79 regular-season games over the past three years. With Morant sidelined the rest of the season, Walter Clayton, Cam Spencer and Javon Small (back) will likely continue seeing increased burn.Out
- Kentavious Caldwell-PopeCaldwell-Pope is expected to make a full recovery ahead of next season and holds a $21.6 million player option for 2026-27. He'll finish this season with averages of 8.4 points, 2.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 21.3 minutes per contest across 51 regular-season games (14 starts). Cam Spencer, Walter Clayton (calf) and Jahmai Mashack are candidates to see an uptick in minutes due to Caldwell-Pope being sidelined for the rest of the campaign.Out
- Santi AldamaAldama, who has not appeared in a game since Feb. 4, will undergo a season-ending procedure to address his right knee injury. The fifth-year pro set career highs in points per game, rebounds per game and minutes per game this season, averaging 14.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27.9 minutes per contest across 43 appearances. He is expected to make a full recovery.Out
- Scotty Pippen Jr.Pippen was without a return timetable after initially being diagnosed with the injury, which was likely related to the surgery that caused him to miss the beginning of the campaign. The Grizzlies have no incentive to rush him back, so this move isn't surprising. It's unclear what Pippen's offseason will look like, but he should be back to full strength by training camp next season. He'll finish his third campaign in Memphis with averages of 11.4 points, 4.7 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals across 10 appearances (six starts).Out
- Jaylen WellsWells will miss the rest of the 2025-26 campaign after undergoing a procedure to repair a tendon avulsion fracture, although he is anticipated to "make a full recovery" ahead of the 2026-27 season. The 22-year-old appeared in 69 games in his sophomore season, starting all of them, finishing with averages of 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.1 blocks and 0.9 steals while shooting 43.1 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from deep across 26.4 minutes of work.Out
- Ty JeromeJerome will end the 2025-26 season having missed 11 games in a row. He didn't make his season debut until Jan. 31 and didn't play more than three consecutive games all year. Still, when he took the floor, he played well. Across his 15 appearances, the guard averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 22.6 minutes.Out
- GG JacksonJackson will be sidelined for a third consecutive game to end his 2025-26 campaign. Jackson started the year slowly but picked things up once the Grizzlies committed to a rebuild. Over his final 27 appearances, he averaged 17.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 blocks in 25.8 minutes.Out
- Cam SpencerSpencer will end his campaign with three consecutive absences. Overall, it was a breakout season for the second-year pro, who set career highs essentially across the board. In his 23.8 minutes per game, Spencer averaged 11.1 points, 5.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds.Out
- Walter Clayton Jr.Clayton will miss a second straight contest to close the regular season due to a left hip injury. His rookie campaign comes to a close with a solid stretch of games, as he averaged 13.2 points, 6.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 25.0 minutes per contest over his last five appearances, scoring in double figures in each of those games.Out
- Cedric CowardCoward will miss a second straight game due to lower-back soreness. The rookie first-rounder has impressed this season and will finish the 2025-26 campaign averaging 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 47.1 percent from the field in 25.8 minutes per game across 62 regular-season appearances (47 starts).Out
- Taylor HendricksThe thumb injury will end Hendricks' season, as Sunday marks the final game of 2025-26 for the Grizzlies. The third-year forward was dealt to the Grizzlies from the Jazz mid-season. In his 26 appearances with Memphis, he averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.2 assists and 0.8 blocks in 24.1 minutes.Out
