Injuries
- Nikola JovicJovic was sidelined for Miami's last four games of the regular-season due to a left ankle sprain, and his absence will extend at least one additional matchup. If the Heat are able to fend off the Hornets on Tuesday, Jovic would have a chance to return for Friday's game, which will determine the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.Out
- Dru SmithSmith hasn't seen game action since April 4 and will be inactive to open the postseason due to right foot soreness. The guard saw his role in the rotation diminish down the stretch of the regular season, and his absence shouldn't have much impact on the Heat rotation in Tuesday's contest.Out
- Bam AdebayoThis is a huge loss for the Heat, as Adebayo is one of Miami's go-to options on offense while also operating as the barometer on the defensive end. Without Adebayo, look for Kel'el Ware to continue handling a bigger role in the frontcourt for Miami. Adebayo exits the game with six points (3-3 FG), three rebounds, an assist and a steal across 11 minutes.Out
- Tyler HerroThis is not expected to significantly inhibit his offseason program nor delay his next training camp, the report adds. This is to address an ongoing issue in his right foot, though it's not expected to sideline him for very long at all.Out
